Hot or Iced? The Perfect Matcha Latte for Any Season
Hot or Iced: The Matcha Latte, Two Ways
Lately, we’ve been reaching for iced matcha lattes even as the temperatures drop. There’s something about that cool, creamy balance that keeps calling us back. But on quieter mornings—or when warmth feels essential—a hot matcha latte does the trick. Whether you prefer it chilled or comforting, both versions are simple to make and rooted in the same ritual.
Hot Matcha Latte
Ingredients
– 1 teaspoon matcha powder
– 100–150 ml water (heated to 80°C)
– Oat milk, or any milk of choice
Instructions
-
Add matcha to a bowl or cup.
-
Whisk in a small amount of warm water to form a smooth paste.
-
Slowly add the remaining water while whisking in a W or M motion until a fine foam forms.
-
Gently heat your milk and pour it into your cup.
-
Top with the matcha, stir or leave layered.
The result is a creamy, earthy matcha latte with subtle sweetness and a soft lift of energy.
